Acacia Forest Industries Sdn. Bhd. (AFI), through its Social Team, facilitated the participation of the Kg. Bongkol Handicraft Group and showcased handicraft products from Persatuan Kraftangan Kg. Mangkapon at the Rungus Cultural Festival in Matunggong on 7–8 July 2026, through a platform provided by the Malaysian Timber Certification Council (MTCC).

The two-day exhibition showcased beaded handicrafts, amigurumi, bags and herbal soap, providing the communities with exposure to wider markets and hands-on experience in sales, marketing, customer engagement and product presentation.

The participating communities recorded RM777 in total sales, while also gaining networking opportunities, customer feedback and learning from other exhibitors. Community members also participated in an MTCC forest exploration activity, strengthening awareness of forests, sustainability and the connection between culture and livelihoods.

Through this initiative, AFI continues to support community entrepreneurship, livelihood development and market access, with future efforts focused on product development, branding, digital marketing and sustainable income opportunities.
