Our Operation

HARVESTING

At Acacia Forest Industries Sdn Bhd, we believe that sustainable forestry is essential to maintaining a balanced ecosystem and a thriving community. Our operations are built around responsible land stewardship, scientific silviculture, and long-term forest regeneration. Every tree we harvest is replanted, and we continuously invest in improved genetic stock, environmental safeguards, and community engagement. Through certified sustainable practices under MTCC and TLAS, we ensure that our plantation forests contribute to biodiversity, soil and water protection, and economic development for local communities. We are committed not only to producing high-quality timber but also to leaving a positive legacy for future generations.

PLANTING OPERATIONS

The primary tree species planted in our area are Eucalyptus pellita and Acacia crassicarpa, both carefully selected for their strong adaptability to local site conditions and excellent growth performance. These species are well-suited to the tropical climate and diverse soil types found within our plantation zones, making them ideal for sustainable timber production.

NURSERY OPERATIONS

At Acacia Forest Industries Sdn Bhd (AFI), we use advanced techniques to produce high-quality planting material that ensures the success and sustainability of our plantation operations.
In our modern nursery facilities, cuttings are propagated under carefully controlled conditions that ensure the optimal balance of light, humidity, and nutrients. This approach promotes consistently high survival rates and strong, vigorous seedling growth.
Cutting Production Process
Cuttings are carefully taken from selected mother plants to preserve genetic integrity. Each cutting is treated and nurtured under controlled conditions to encourage strong root and shoot development. The process includes:

Before being transferred to the field, rooted cuttings undergo a hardening phase to prepare them for natural conditions. This crucial step strengthens young plants and significantly improves survival rates after planting.
